2. Application Eligibility:
Overseas Chinese students (including Students from Hong Kong and Macau)studying in Taiwan who meet one of the following conditions may apply through the school’s Overseas Chinese Affairs Committee for financial aid:
(1) Medical aid: Major financial burden caused by hospitalization and medical treatment due to illness or injury.
(2) Emergency aid: Heavy financial burden caused by force majeure events, natural disasters, or family incidents.
(3) Funeral aid: Death.
3. Required Documents:
(1) Application form (click here to download)
(2) Copy of the student ID card (front and back)
(3) Proof of enrollment for the current semester
(4) Copy of the residence permit
(5) Copy of the passport
(6) Copy of the Post Office/ Hua Nan/ Yu Shan Bank passbook cover
(7) Certificate of financial hardship
(8) Additionally, the following original documents should be attached according to different conditions. If the documents are in a foreign language, a Chinese translation should be provided:
a. Major financial burden caused by hospitalization and medical treatment due to illness or injury: Medical diagnosis certificate from the medical institution and medical expense receipts.
b. Heavy financial burden caused by force majeure events, natural disasters, or family incidents: Proof of disaster losses or family incidents.
c. Death: Death certificate.
4. Application Method:
After preparing the required documents, the applicant should apply to the assigned personnel of the Overseas Students Advising Division according to their place of residence/nationality:

5. Standards for Medical Treatment and Bereavement Financial Aid:
(1) Overseas Chinese students who are hospitalized for injuries or illnesses will be given consolation fund ranging from NT$1,000 to NT$5,000; those who have paid medical expenses of over NT$10,000 will be given financial aid ranging from NT$5,000 to NT$50,000, but not exceeding the amount of self-paid medical expenses.
(2) Those who suffer from force majeure events or natural disasters, or family accidents that cause a heavy economic burden, will be given financial aid ranging from NT$1,000 to NT$10,000.
(3) For death due to some reason, financial aid of NT$30,000 will be provided.
6. Principles for Medical Treatment and Bereavement Financial Aid Distribution:
(1) For applications based on factual reasons that meet the aforementioned criteria, each Overseas Chinese student shall be granted financial aid once in principle.
(2) In case of special circumstances, the Overseas Chinese Affairs Committee may make adjustments depending on individual cases.
