【Announcement】Applications for the Overseas Chinese Association HQ's 115th Academic Year " Undergraduate Overseas Chinese, Hong Kong and Macao Student Scholarships and Financial Aid, and the Mr. Shen Chang-Huan and Mr. & Mrs. Shen Li-Lan Memorial Scholars
Announcement Details:
1. Eligibility: All second-year or above overseas Chinese students (excluding graduate students and first-year students) at the university who meet the following conditions may apply for one of the following:
(1) Mr. Shen Chang-Huan and Mr. & Mrs. Shen Li-Lan Memorial Scholarship:
a. An overall GPA of 4.03 or above for the 114th academic year and a conduct grade of A or above.
b. No government funding or other scholarships were received for the 115th academic year.
(2) Undergraduate Overseas Chinese, Hong Kong and Macao Student Scholarships:
a. An overall GPA of 3.38 or above for the 114th academic year and a conduct grade of A or above.
b. No government funding or other scholarships were received for the 115th academic year.
(3) Undergraduate Overseas Chinese, Hong Kong and Macao Student Financial Aid:
a. An overall GPA of 2.93 or above and a conduct grade of A or above for the 114th academic year, and proof of financial hardship or loss of income.
b. No government funding or other scholarships were received for the 114th academic year.
2. Application Period: From now until noon on September 22.
3. Application Procedure: Please apply online via the university's "Student Financial Support Service (Scholarships)": https://my.ntu.edu.tw/fao/login.aspx, and arrange the following required documents in order (no need to bind) and submit them in hard copy to Mr. Chen of the Overseas Compatriot and Mainland Chinese Students Advising Division(Room 112, Administration Building).
4. Required Documents:
(1) List of documents to be submitted (printable after completing the online application through the "Student Financial Support Service (Scholarships)" system. Sample documents/print document submission list SOP).
(2) Application form (as attached, leave the Office of Student Affairs review section blank).
(4) Conduct certificate for the 114th academic year (download from the myNTU honor and discipline System).
(5) Identification sticker sheet (as attached).
(7) Chinese autobiography (minimum of 1,000 words).
(8) Proof of financial hardship (required only for applicants of the Assistance Fund).
5. Scholarship Amounts:
(1) Mr. Shen Chang-Huan and Mr. & Mrs. Shen Li-Lan Memorial Scholarship: NT$36,000 per recipient.
(2) Undergraduate Overseas Chinese, Hong Kong and Macao Student Scholarships:: NT$20,000 per recipient.
(3) Undergraduate Overseas Chinese, Hong Kong and Macao Student Financial Aid: NT$10,000 per recipient.
6. Duplicate Applications:
(1) If you wish to apply for both the " Mr. Shen Chang-Huan and Mr. & Mrs. Shen Li-Lan Memorial Scholarship " and the " Undergraduate Overseas Chinese, Hong Kong and Macao Student Scholarships," you must submit two separate application forms. The Overseas Compatriot and Mainland Chinese Students Advising Division will make recommendations based on academic performance.
(2) Applicants for the above two scholarships may not apply for the " Undergraduate Overseas Chinese, Hong Kong and Macao Student Financial Aid "
7. The award ceremony will be held on Sunday, December 6, at 9:00 AM at the Denwell Flagship Store in Dazhi, Taipei. Those who do not attend in person will forfeit their scholarship/assistance.
