Recently, there have been cases in which newly arrived overseas Chinese students were fined for bringing prohibited items into Taiwan. Fines in such cases may reach tens of thousands of New Taiwan Dollars. To prevent similar incidents, we remind all overseas Chinese students who have not yet entered Taiwan to carefully review Taiwan’s customs regulations in advance. Please do not bring any prohibited items to avoid violating the law, incurring penalties, or affecting your rights and eligibility to enter the country.

Common categories of prohibited items include:
Various types of drugs, narcotics, and unapproved medications
Fruits, meat products, and agricultural goods subject to quarantine
Undeclared large amounts of cash, gold, or other valuable items

Examples of prohibited items (selected list):
Live animals and aquatic animals; animal meat and meat-containing processed foods (e.g., vacuum-packed products, instant noodles with meat, meat-based soups);Raw eggs and egg products; animal feed Raw milk and fresh milk; biological products (e.g., serum, vaccines, cell cultures) Animal bones, horns, teeth, claws, and hooves (unprocessed); animal hair and feathers (undyed/unprocessed); raw animal hides (including dried or salted) Unrendered animal fat; unprocessed bird’s nests (with feathers, droppings, or impurities) Fishery products; animal products with soil residues Traditional Chinese medicine materials containing animal components; organic fertilizers with animal content Soil or plants with soil attached; fresh fruits; harmful organisms or live insects Host plants and related products from epidemic-affected regions To protect your rights and interests, we urge you to understand relevant regulations in advance and avoid violations.
