[Announcement for Application] 113th Academic Year "Ms. Ren Jiang Lusheng Financial Hardship Scholarship" Now Open for Applications (Deadline: September 26th, 12:00 PM)

  1. Eligibility: (1) Current undergraduate students at the university (Graduate students are only eligible in the case of a major unforeseen event; freshmen are not eligible). (2) Students from financially disadvantaged backgrounds or those whose families have experienced a major unforeseen event. (3) Students with a GPA of 2.93 (or 75/100 on the percentage scale) or above in the previous academic year, with no disciplinary records. Students with exceptional circumstances (e.g., unforeseen events or special competition training that caused them to fall short of the requirement) may submit concrete evidence and apply. (4) Preference will be given to applicants with leadership experience in clubs or those with proof of community service or part-time work experience. (5) Recipients of this scholarship may hold other scholarships, but the total amount of all scholarships in the academic year must not exceed NT$60,000. (Note: The list of candidates recommended by the division will include both primary and alternate recipients. However, the final decision rests with the scholarship provider, and the final list of recipients will be announced by the scholarship provider.)
  2. Scholarship Amount: NT$60,000 per recipient.
  3. Application Procedure: Submit the following required documents (as listed in Section 4) in hard copy to Mr. Chen at the Overseas Chinese and Mainland Chinese Students Advising Division, Room 112, Administration Building.
  4. Required Documents:

(1) A list of required documents (After completing the online application via the "Student Financial Support Services (Scholarship)" system, you can print this list. Sample documents/Print SOP for the document list).

(2) Dedicated application form.

(3) A copy of the household registration transcript for the entire family, and a copy of the property and income statements for the previous year (or other documents that can prove the family’s financial situation).

(4) Proof of financial hardship.

(5) Original transcripts for all years, proof of class rankings for all semesters, proof of annual ranking, and proof of disciplinary records.

(6) A detailed resume of the applicant (no specific format required, but must include an autobiography and a 2-inch ID photo).

(7) Proof of unforeseen circumstances or hospital diagnosis report.

(8) Proof of club leadership, community service, or part-time work experience.

(9) One letter of recommendation from a mentor.

Note: The original transcripts, semester rankings (can only be printed after the 3rd week of classes for the 112-2 semester), and annual rankings (can only be printed after the 3rd week of classes, for the 112th academic year) must be purchased from the machines outside the Registration Office. Screenshots from the ePO system will not be accepted. The machine options are numerous and complex, so please "read carefully" before purchasing.
