For new students holding an original foreign high school diploma, NTU requires verification of the original diploma and official transcripts. These documents must be authenticated by the ROC Embassies and Missions Abroad and verified by designated agencies appointed by the Overseas Community Affairs Council according to regulations.

  • The verification/authentication process may take some time, so please start early.

  • The procedure varies depending on the ROC Embassies and Missions Abroad responsible for your diploma, degree certificate, or transcripts.
  • Verification cannot be completed after arriving in Taiwan, so make sure to finish it before your arrival

Applicants admitted through the University Entrance Committee for Overseas Chinese Students are exempt from verification.

However, if the academic documents are not in Chinese or English, they must be translated into Chinese or English first, then verified by the ROC Embassies and Missions Abroad, a designated agency appointed by the Overseas Community Affairs Council.

Verification must be conducted by the Republic of China's overseas representative office in the country where the academic credentials were issued.
