【Activities】2026 Info Sessions on Hiring Overseas Compatriot Students
The Overseas Community Affairs Council will hold three “2026 Info Sessions on Hiring Overseas Compatriot Students” in northern, central, and southern Taiwan in September 2026. The sessions will invite representatives from relevant government agencies, including the Ministry of Labor, Ministry of Finance, and National Immigration Agency, as well as companies with experience hiring Overseas Compatriot Students. Topics will include work regulations in Taiwan, labor pension, income tax withholding, employment insurance, residence and permanent residence, and other related matters. Company networking and job matching activities will also be arranged after the sessions. Overseas Compatriot Students who are interested in learning more about employment in Taiwan are welcome to register.

The program includes briefings by government agencies on regulations related to hiring Overseas Compatriot Students, practical guidance on work permit applications, experience sharing by companies, a panel discussion, and company networking and job matching activities.

Due to limited seating, interested students are encouraged to register as early as possible. The list of companies participating in the job matching activities is expected to be announced in early August. Livestream The Northern Taiwan session will be livestreamed on the official YouTube channel of the Overseas Community Affairs Council.
