[Forwarded Information] Nanshan Life “Overseas Rising Star Development Program” – International Talent Scholarships and Internship Opportunities
I. Program Purpose
Nanshan Life Insurance Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “the Company”), guided by the principle of talent sustainability, has promoted scholarship and talent development programs since 2023 to support overseas Chinese, foreign, and Hong Kong/Macau students studying in Taiwan. The program aims to help students realize their potential while enhancing exchange and cooperation with the Company.
To further deepen exchanges and expand diverse international talent pipelines, the Company has established the “Overseas Rising Star Development Program,” offering scholarships and internship opportunities to cultivate promising international talents.
II. Eligibility
Applicants must meet all of the following requirements:
- Applicants must be studying in Taiwan in accordance with the Regulations Regarding Study and Counseling Assistance for Overseas Chinese Students, Regulations Regarding International Students Undertaking Studies in Taiwan, or Regulations Regarding Hong Kong and Macau Residents Undertaking Studies in Taiwan, and must be enrolled in one of the following institutions designated by the Company:
National Taiwan University, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, National Cheng Kung University, National Chengchi University, National Tsing Hua University, National Central University, National Chung Hsing University, National Sun Yat-sen University, National Chung Cheng University, National Taiwan University of Science and Technology, National Taiwan Normal University, National Taipei University, National Taipei University of Technology, Kaohsiung Medical University, or Taipei Medical University. - Applicants must be overseas Chinese students or international students from one of the following 13 regions or countries: Hong Kong, Macau, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Myanmar, Malaysia, Singapore, India, Brunei, the Philippines, or Timor-Leste.
- International students must submit a valid TOCFL Level B1 certificate or other equivalent and valid proof of Chinese language proficiency.
- At the time of application, applicants must be third-year undergraduate students (or above) or master’s students, with a GPA of 3.5 or above in the previous semester, or an equivalent academic standard.
III. Number of Awards and Benefits
- Up to 10 recipients will be selected each year. Each individual may receive the award only once.
- Award recipients will receive a scholarship of NTD 10,000. In addition, within one year after receiving the award, recipients may participate in one internship placement arranged by the Company (either at headquarters or branch offices across Taiwan) during their period of study. Internship salaries will be paid according to the internship contract. Upon successful completion of the internship, recipients will receive an additional NTD 10,000 internship scholarship.

- Front and back of student ID
- Front and back of permanent or long-term residence permit from country of residence
- Transcript from the previous semester
- Consent form for personal data collection, processing, and use
- Personal résumé (additional supporting documents such as language proficiency certificates, club involvement, or internship experience may be attached).
V. Application Guidelines
- Application Period: December 1 to December 31 each year.
- Submission Format: Submit the application form in Word format (.docx). Email subject line and file name should follow this format:

- Notification of Results: Award recipients will be notified by email before February of the following year. Applicants who are not selected will not receive separate notification.
VI. Important Notes
- If any falsified or inaccurate documents are discovered, the Company will revoke the award and require repayment of any scholarship funds already received, and may pursue further legal responsibility as appropriate.
- Internship content, placement, and related regulations will be arranged by the Company based on actual needs.
- During the program period, any written materials, photographs, or video recordings produced may be used by the Company for documentation, reports, and promotional purposes, and may be publicly released in print, online, or electronic media as necessary.
- The Company reserves the right of final interpretation of this program and may revise the terms as needed.
