【Announcement】Ministry of Education Outstanding and Elite Overseas Chinese Student Scholarships" Application Now Open (Deadline: September 12)
Announcement Details:
1. Eligibility:
(1) Freshmen: Must have obtained the "Certificate of Academic Ranking for the Ministry of Education Scholarship for Outstanding Overseas Chinese Students Returning to Study at Domestic Universities for the 114th Academic Year."
(2) Students in their second year or above:
a. Must have previously received this scholarship and have no record of suspension.
b. Must have completed at least 9 credits each semester during their studies (excluding the graduation year).
c. Must have achieved an overall GPA of 3.76 or higher for the 113th academic year. Credits and grades earned during exchange programs abroad must be recognized by the domestic university attended.
2. Application Period: From now until 12:00 on September 6, 2025.
3. Application Procedure (hard copy submission, do not bind): Submit the following required documents (as mentioned in item 4) in hard copy to Mr. Chen at the Overseas Chinese and Mainland Chinese Students Advising Division (Room 112, Administration Building).
4. Required Documents:
(1) Freshmen:
a. Identification sticker sheet (sample of identification photocopy). (If Freshmen have not yet applied for a residence permit/post office/bank, please submit after completing the application).
b. Photocopy of the "Overseas Joint Admission Committee Dispatch Notice."
c. Photocopy of the "Certificate of Academic Ranking for the Ministry of Education Scholarship for Outstanding Overseas Chinese Students Returning to Study at Domestic Universities for the 114th Academic Year."
d. Proof of enrollment for the 114-1 semester (download from the EPO system).
(2) Students in their second year or above:
a. Identification sticker sheet (sample of identification photocopy).
b. Transcripts for all semesters (apply at the machine). "Grade Notification" and "myNTU grade records" are not accepted.
c. Certification of Enrollment for the first semester of the 113 academic years (download from the EPO system).
5. Scholarship Amount:
(1) Elite: NT$25,000 per month for each recipient.
(2) Outstanding:
a. Freshmen: NT$12,500 per month for each recipient.
b. Students in their second year or above: NT$10,000 per month for each recipient.
6. Recipients of this scholarship may not simultaneously receive tuition fee subsidies, reductions, or scholarships provided by the government.
