Announcement:

  1. Eligibility: Overseas Chinese students in their second year or higher at the university (including second-year students, but excluding those who are repeating a year, retaking courses, extending their study, or graduate students). The total average GPA for the 112th academic year (both semesters) must be 3.38 or higher, and the conduct grades must be A- or higher for both semesters.
  2. Application Period: From now until 12:00 PM, September 18.
  3. Application Process: Online application. Please scan all required documents listed in Section 4 into a single PDF file (you can use your phone to scan, but photos will not be accepted. Applications that do not meet the requirements will be rejected). Upload the PDF to the "Outstanding Overseas Chinese Student Scholarship" application form (link: [https://forms.gle/33n5TAEzJiQtZcu59]).
  4. Required Documents:

(1) Application form and certificate attachment form (no need to stamp the student ID copy).

(2) Proof of enrollment for the 113th academic year, first semester (downloadable from the EPO system).

(3) Transcripts for both semesters of the 112th academic year or an academic transcript for all years (apply at the Academic Affairs or print at a kiosk). "Grade Notifications" and "myNTU Query Record of Grades" are not accepted.

(4) Proof of conduct grades for both semesters of the 112th academic year (downloadable from the myNTU Discipline System).

(5) Copy of the iOverseas Chinese Card (i僑卡). (If not available, you are not eligible to apply for this scholarship).

  1. Scholarship Amount: NTD 6,000 for each recipient of the "Academic and Conduct Excellence Scholarship"; NTD 20,000 for each recipient of the "Outstanding Overseas Chinese Student Scholarship". The latter awardees will also receive a certificate.
  2. Recipients of the "Outstanding Overseas Chinese Student Scholarship" cannot receive the "Meritorious Overseas Chinese Student Scholarship".
  3. If a student receives the "Academic and Conduct Excellence Scholarship"or "Outstanding Overseas Chinese Student Scholarship" for the 113th academic year, they will not be eligible to apply for the "Overseas Community Affairs Council accepts donations for scholarships and financial aid for overseas Chinese students" using their 112th academic year grades in the following (114th) year.
  4. If a recipient forfeits the scholarship after the decision is made and returns the scholarship, this will be considered for the following year’s allocation of scholarships.
  5. If an application is rejected due to the conditions outlined in Section 3 and the applicant cannot submit corrections within the application period, it will be considered a withdrawal.
  6. Exclusivity Regulations:

(1) Recipients of the "Ministry of Education Outstanding and Elite Overseas Chinese Student Scholarships", the "Overseas Community Affairs Council Elite and Outstanding Scholarship", and the "NATIONAL TAIWAN UNIVERSITY  Admissions Scholarships for Overseas Chinese Students and Students from Hong Kong and Macau via Recommendation by Overseas High Schools" are not eligible to apply for this scholarship.

(2) This scholarship can be received with the "Ministry of Education's Financial Aid for Low-Income Overseas Chinese Students".
