Dear fellow Mainland Chinese students:

Due to the increase in the number of confirmed cases of severe special infectious pneumonia (COVID-19), many countries have established entry controls or bans. It is strongly recommended that all students not leaving the country unless it is necessary, so it won’t affect your academic studies and personal health at NTU.

If you must leave Taiwan due to force majeure major, please note the following:

() Exit application
Please fill in the "National Taiwan University Travel Abroad Declaration and Application Form" (as attached). After it has been signed by the mentor, chair/director of department, and dean, it must be submitted to the [Overseas Students Advising Division (Lixian Hall 812 room)] two weeks before departure.

()Entry application
If you do not hold a valid Alien Residence Certificate (ARC), you must apply for an "Overseas Students Entry Permit Certificate" to the Ministry of Education through the Overseas Students Advising Division in order to be able to enter Taiwan. If you do not hold a valid Alien Residence Certificate (ARC) and plan to enter the country to study in the 110-2 semester, please fill out the following form as soon as possible to notify the Overseas Students Advising Division, and we will provide you with immigration assistance.

() Negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test result
You must hold a negative COVID-19 RT-PCR test report within 2 days prior to the flight schedule time in order to enter Taiwan. https://www.cdc.gov.tw/Bulletin/Detail/_VRX4ciyxXBAZZrWlce-FQ?typeid=9

())After entering Taiwan, please make sure to go to the "NTU Website for Disease Control", and click "Reporting system for personnel under quarantine" on the left column to report your entry information to NTU Health Center. https://my.ntu.edu.tw/ntuwdc/

※Reminder: The epidemic is severe, so quarantine for entry and exit will be costly and time consuming. Please minimize cross-border travel, and use telephone, video, online gatherings to connect with your overseas family, relatives and friends instead.
