[Forwarded Information from OIA] Invitation to join the NTU Second Mentor Project (Spring 2026)

Studying abroad can be both exciting and challenging. To help international students adapt to life in Taiwan, the Office of International Affairs (OIA) invites Taiwanese, international, and retired faculty members to participate in the “Second Mentor Project for International Students.”

Your second mentor may come from your home country, share your native language or cultural background, have similar interests, or have overseas study experience and an understanding of the challenges faced by international students. Through this project, we hope your mentor can help you integrate smoothly into life in Taiwan and provide empathy and support throughout your time at NTU.

The Second Mentor Project complements the existing mentorship system. If you would like to be paired with a second mentor, please complete the online form by March 30, 2026https://forms.gle/GCFKuJuE62LoBJZJA

Mentor–mentee pairings will be arranged on a rolling basis. If you experience significant language barriers in your studies or feel a strong need for additional support, please indicate this in the survey. We will do our best to match you with a suitable mentor.

As the mentors in this program volunteer their time to support international students and their availability is limited, priority will be given to those with greater needs. If you are primarily interested in joining the Project to make more friends, please note that a mentor may not be assigned in every case.

Eligibility: You must be an international degree student (including international students, Overseas Chinese students, and students from Hong Kong, Macau, or Mainland China) who has completed registration and is currently enrolled.   For more details about the program, please visit our website: https://isss.ntu.edu.tw/wellbeing/second-mentor-project/

This project is organized by the Office of International Affairs, and overseas compatriot students as well as Hong Kong and Macao students are warmly welcome to participate!
