【Announcement】Applications for the Overseas Chinese Association HQ's 113th Academic Year "Mr. Shen Chang-Huan Memorial Scholarship and Scholarship and Financial Aid for Overseas Chinese Students" are now open (deadline: September 6th, 12:00 PM).
Based on: Overseas Chinese Association HQ's letters No. 113036 and 113037 dated August 19, 113th Academic Year.
Announcement Details:
- Eligibility: All second-year or above overseas Chinese students (excluding graduate students and first-year students) at the university who meet the following conditions may apply for one of the following:
(1) Mr. Shen Changhuan Memorial Scholarship:
- An overall GPA of 4.03 or above for the 112th academic year and a conduct grade of A or above.
- No government funding or other scholarships were received for the 113th academic year.
(2) Scholarship for Overseas Chinese Students:
- An overall GPA of 3.38 or above for the 112th academic year and a conduct grade of A or above.
- No government funding or other scholarships were received for the 113th academic year.
(3) Financial Aid for Overseas Chinese Students:
- An overall GPA of 2.93 or above and a conduct grade of A or above for the 112th academic year, and proof of financial hardship or loss of income.
- No government funding or other scholarships were received for the 113th academic year.
- Application Period: From now until noon on September 6th.
- Application Procedure: Please apply online via the university's "Student Financial Support Service (Scholarships)": https://my.ntu.edu.tw/fao/login.aspx, and arrange the following required documents in order (no need to bind) and submit them in hard copy to Mr. Chen of the Overseas Chinese and Mainland Chinese Students Advising Division(Room 112, Administration Building).
- Required Documents:
(1) List of documents to be submitted (printable after completing the online application through the "Student Financial Support Service (Scholarships)" system. Sample documents/print document submission list SOP).
(2) Special application form (as attached, leave the Office of Student Affairs review section blank).
(4) Conduct certificate for the 112th academic year (download from the myNTU honor and discipline System).
(5) Identification sticker sheet (sample of identification photocopy).
(7) Chinese autobiography (minimum of 1,000 words).
(8) Proof of financial hardship (required only for applicants of the Assistance Fund).
- Scholarship Amounts:
(1) Mr. Shen Changhuan Memorial Scholarship: NT$20,000 per recipient.
(2) Scholarship for Overseas Chinese Students: NT$10,000 per recipient.
(3) Financial Aid for Overseas Chinese Students. NT$5,000 per recipient.
- Duplicate Applications:
(1) If you wish to apply for both the " Mr. Shen Changhuan Memorial Scholarship " and the " Scholarship for Overseas Chinese Students," you must submit two separate application forms. The Overseas Chinese and Mainland Chinese Students Advising Division will make recommendations based on academic performance.
(2) Applicants for the above two scholarships may not apply for the " Financial Aid for Overseas Chinese Students "
- The award ceremony will be held on Sunday, November 24th, at 9:00 AM at the Denwell Flagship Store in Dazhi, Taipei. Those who do not attend in person will forfeit their scholarship/assistance.
