【Notification】Nanshan Life Insurance Co., Ltd. Outstanding Overseas Chinese Student Scholarship

Nanshan Life Insurance Co., Ltd. has established the "Nanshan Life Insurance Outstanding Overseas Chinese Student Scholarship" to encourage overseas Chinese students in Taiwan to study diligently and nurture future outstanding overseas Chinese talents. - Application Period
- First Semester: From the start of registration until November 22, 2024.
- Second Semester: From the start of registration until March 31, 2025.
- Eligibility
(1) Overseas Chinese and Hong Kong/Macau students studying at the university under the "Regulations Regarding Study and Counseling Assistance for Overseas Chinese Students Returning to Taiwan" and the "Regulations Regarding Hong Kong and Macau Residents Studying in Taiwan."
(2) Bachelor's degree students in their third year or above, or master's degree students, with conduct grades of A- (80 points) or above, and no disciplinary records.
(3) GPA of 3.5 or above in the previous semester, or an equivalent grading system. - Awards and Benefits
(1) A total of 10 recipients will be awarded each semester. Each recipient will receive a one-time scholarship of NT$10,000.
(2) Internship Opportunity: Recipients who are interested in applying for an internship position at the company may submit an application and will be given priority consideration (admission is not guaranteed). - Required Documents
(1) Application form (including copies of the student ID and permanent or long-term residency permit of the residing country). See Attachment 1.
(2) Personal data consent form. See Attachment 2.
(3) Autobiography (including personal characteristics analysis, academic journey plan, career development plan, and future self-expectations). Format is not restricted, but content should not exceed two single-sided A4 pages.
(4) Original transcript of the previous semester and conduct grades or original certificate of rewards and punishments. Photocopies must be stamped by the Office of Academic Affairs. - Application Instructions
(1) Please arrange the documents in the specified order and submit them as a single electronic file. The file should not exceed 9MB.
(2) The email subject and electronic file name should follow this format: "Nanshan Life Outstanding Overseas Chinese Student Scholarship_National Taiwan University_Name."
(3) Send the above documents to NS-Resume@nanshan.com.tw. Late submissions or submissions that do not meet the format requirements will not be accepted.
(4) If any falsified or inaccurate information is found in the application documents, the company reserves the right to revoke the award and request the return of the scholarship, as well as pursue legal responsibility based on the severity of the violation. - Selection and Notification
(1) Applicants who have previously interned or worked at the company should submit supporting documents with their application, and bonus points may be considered.
(2) The selection process will be reviewed by a panel of judges invited by the company. The company reserves the right to make the final decision.
(3) Awardees must attend the award ceremony in person. If unable to attend, the awardee must notify the organizer in advance and comply with the company's designated method and timeline. If the award ceremony is canceled due to weather or other factors, the organizer will provide further notice. The organizer reserves the right to use text, photos, and videos related to the event in print, online, or electronic media. - The company reserves the right for the final interpretation of these regulations and may amend them at any time as needed.
