[Forward] anti-fraud EDMs
Recently, the fraud rings are targeting overseas Chinese students with limited proficiency in Mandarin, enticing them to provide their bank accounts for money laundering purposes. To prevent students from becoming involved in fraud cases, we urge everyone to increase their vigilance against scams to avoid falling victim or being unwittingly implicated in legal troubles. The Overseas Community Affairs Council has produced anti-fraud EDMs in five languages—Thai, Vietnamese, Indonesian, Burmese, and English (as attachment)—to remind overseas Chinese students to stay alert and verify information to avoid being deceived.
