[Announcement for Application] Mega International Commercial Bank Scholarship for Myanmar Overseas Chinese Student Scholarships for the 112th academic year (Application Deadline: March 4 at Noon)

 

1. Purpose:

Mega International Commercial Bank is dedicated to supporting the economic development of Myanmar by cultivating Myanmar talents. The aim is for these talents to return home after their studies in Taiwan, contributing to their homeland and strengthening the bilateral relationship between Taiwan and Myanmar. The "Mega Bank Scholarship for Myanmar Overseas Students" has been established to achieve this.

2. Eligibility:

(1) Current students of Myanmar nationality enrolled in undergraduate or master's programs at our university (excluding new students, those on leave, and those who have delayed graduation).

(2) Must have an average academic grade of at least 70 out of 100 (GPA 2.44) in the previous academic year, with no disciplinary actions from the university.

(3) No other public funding or scholarships in the same academic year (except those receiving the NATIONAL TAIWAN UNIVERSITY Directions for Reviewing Financial Aid Applications from Low-to-Middle-Income Overseas Chinese Students).

3. Quota: A total of 4 students will be awarded.

4. Scholarship Amount: Each recipient will receive a scholarship of NT$20,000.

5. Application Period: From now until March 4 at 12:00 noon.

6. Application Procedure: Arrange the required documents in order (no need to bind) and submit them in hard copy to Mr. Chen of the Overseas Students Advising Division(Room 112, Administration Building).

7. Required Documents:

(1) List of documents to be submitted (printable after completing the online application through the "Student Financial Support Service (Scholarships)" system. Sample documents/print document submission list SOP).

(2) Dedicated application form (as attached).

(3) Identification sticker sheet (as attached).

(4) Certification of enrollment for the second semester of the 112 academic years (download from the EPO system).

(5) Chinese transcripts for both semesters of the 111 academic year (apply or print out from the Registration/Teaching and Research Section; 'Grade Notification' and 'myNTU Grade Records' are not accepted).

(6) Certificates of Honor and Discipline for both semesters of the 111 academic year (download from the myNTU Honor and Discipline System).

(7) If you are from a low-income family, provide proof of low income (if unavailable, it is not required).

(8) Proof of participation in school clubs, competitions, and other activities.

8. Review Process: Priority will be given to students in finance, law, business, risk management, and information technology. Selection will be based on academic performance in the previous year. In cases of equal academic merit, participation in school clubs and competition results will also be considered for selection.
