【Epidemic Prevention Regulations】Entry and Exit Regulations for Overseas Chinese Students During the Epidemic

Notice from the Overseas Students Advising DivisionEntry and Exit Regulations for Overseas Chinese Students During the Epidemic

Dear fellow overseas Chinese students:

Due to the increase in the number of confirmed cases of severe special infectious pneumonia (COVID-19), many countries have established entry controls or bans. It is strongly recommended that all students not leaving the country unless it is necessary, so it won’t affect your academic studies and personal health at NTU.

If you must leave Taiwan due to major, please note the following:

() Exit application
Please fill in the " National Taiwan University Travel Abroad Declaration and Application Form" (as attached). After it has been signed by the mentor, chair/director of department, and dean, it must be submitted to the [Overseas Students Advising Division (Lixian Hall 812 room)] two weeks before departure.

() Entry with a valid ARC
1. According to the "Entry restrictions for foreigners to Taiwan in response to COVID-19 outbreak" (updated at any time) by the Immigration Department of the Ministry of the Interior, students who are currently holding a valid Alien Residence Certificate (ARC) can enter the country on their own (but can be adjusted at any time). As there are possibilities of stricter entry and exit regulations if the epidemic rises, it may affect your studies (and dormitory, etc.), it is recommended to think clearly, and try not to leave the country unless necessary.
