Application for the "NATIONAL TAIWAN UNIVERSITY Incentive Scholarship Program" for the 113th Academic Year (For Overseas Chinese Students)

Applications for the NATIONAL TAIWAN UNIVERSITY Incentive Scholarship Program for the 113th academic year will be accepted from September 2, 2024, to September 24, 2024.
Please complete the online application and submit the required documents within the application period. Late submissions or incomplete applications will not be accepted.

Scholarship Quota: The maximum number of recipients across the university is 60. The number of overseas Chinese student recipients will be proportionate to the ratio of overseas Chinese master's and doctoral students to the total number of master's and doctoral students at the university in the previous academic year.
Eligibility: Financially disadvantaged overseas Chinese students (as recognized by the Overseas Community Affairs Council, OCAC) with all passing grades in the previous academic year, who have not received any disciplinary actions during their studies, and who meet any of the following criteria, may apply for this scholarship (excluding students in in-service programs).
Those who have received a total scholarship amount exceeding NT$240,000 in the previous academic year are not eligible to apply:

(1) Ranked in the top 50% of their class in academic performance in the previous academic year.
(2) Having any of the following circumstances without academic performance ranking, but recommended by their advisor or supervising professor for excellent academic performance:
1. Courses taken were not graded with scores or ranks.
2. Due to studying abroad for exchange, visits, or dual degree programs, no courses from NTU were taken.
3. No academic performance ranking in the previous educational institution.

Application Process for Overseas Chinese Students: All applications and submissions must be done online https://forms.gle/3RTkiPunPCTKGxMb8, no hard copies are required.
(1) Please arrange the following required documents in order and merge them into a single PDF file. Name the PDF file as "勵學獎學金(僑生)_Student ID_Name":
1. List of Required Documents (myNTU→學生專區→助學資訊→學生財務支援服務(獎助學金) Keyword search for "勵學獎學金" Fill out and submit the application Download the list of required documents).
2. Attachment A: Evaluation Criteria Form (for Overseas Chinese), with the self-assessment section completed.
3. Enrollment Certificate for the 113-1 semester (downloadable from myNTU epo Portfolio Print Enrollment Certificate).
4. Transcript and academic performance ranking certificate for the previous academic year can be obtained from the Graduate Academic Affairs Division or printed from the machine next to it (not accepting "myNTU inquiry record"). First-year students should provide the transcript and academic performance ranking certificate from their previous educational institution. For those without academic performance ranking but recommended by their advisor or supervising professor for excellent academic performance, please include supporting documents.
5. Student rewards and punishments certificate (first-year students should provide the rewards and punishments certificate from the previous educational institution).
6. Current year proof of financial disadvantage (issued by an entity recognized by the Republic of China Overseas Community Affairs Council).
