Dear students:

Have you been doing fine with NTU’s campus life? Have you ever had psychological pressure or academic questions but didn’t know where to ask for help? If you (or your friend) ever need any counseling or learning information, the information we summarized is as follows:

 

1. Counseling resources

A.  If you have any problems/inquiries on a psychological aspect and need help from a professional, feel free to utilize NTU Student Counseling Center’s online booking system to book an appointment for a one-on-one session.

B.  If you or your friend has any emergencies, feel free to stop by NTU Student Counseling Center during Mondays-Fridays’ 8:30-17:30 or call 3366-2181#11. If it’s really urgent, please call 02-3366-9119 (Student Safety Center 24-hrs Emergency Call) or 02-3366-9110 (Police in 24-hrs Emergency Call) or 119.

2. Learning resources

A.  Office of Academic Affairs’ Center for Teaching and Learning Development provides NTU tutoring service. Book online for weekly one-on-one session with a tutor that can help you with Calculus, General Chemistry and Statistics.

C.  Chinese Language Division of the NTU Language Center – Chinese Course

The program is divided into Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter classes with 12 weeks of class per season, and students will be assigned to classes based on their Chinese proficiency. The program offers small classes with only 5 to 7 students in each class. 3 hours per day, 15 hours of class per week (Monday-Friday). 10% discounts will be given to NTU students.

In addition, students can also seek advice from each department’s academic advisor and teaching assistant. If you still have any further question, you are more than welcome to stop by Overseas Students Advising Division’s office at Room 301 in the Administration Building (3F).
