To all NTU Overseas Chinese Students:

1. Due to the Severe Special Infectious Pneumonia (Wuhan Coronavirus pandemic), the school opening has been postponed to March 2^nd (Mon.).
2. For all of the Overseas students who came back from Mainland China, Hong Kong or Macao, must conduct independent health management for 14 days; for students who have visited Mainland China Hubei Province, Guangdong Province, or Zhejiang Province must follow home-quarantine order for 14 days. For Oversea students who meet the conditions above, must return back to school during the time period of February 10^th to February 14^th, the school would assist in independent health management and home-quarantine “within 14 days after entry Taiwan”, in order to help the students to complete their studies and to meet the epidemic preventions set by the Taiwanese government. Please follow the instructions below:

1. All of the Overseas students are required to fill in the form, 「Returning time period for NTU Overseas Students」before February 7^th to register the time of returning back to Taiwan.

2. Overseas students who came back from Mainland China, Hong Kong, or Macau (including transit from those regions), or students who have visited Mainland China Hubei Province, Guangdong Province, or Zhejiang Province, must login to “NTU Website for Disease Control” (https://my.ntu.edu.tw/ntuwdc/default.aspx) –click the “Reporting” section to report to the Campus Health Center. After returning back to the school’s dormitory, including BOT dormitory, the students are required to report to their “Resident Director” to complete this process.
3. For foreigners who are holding a residence permit in Taiwan and intending to return back have resided in or entered Mainland China for within 14 days, it is required to conduct independent health management for 14 days.

4. Please refer to the school’s Coronavirus flow chart (as attached on file 1), and at the meantime, please be sure to follow the instructions given by the Taiwan Central Epidemic Command Center (as attached on file 2) to administer either self-quarantine or self-health management accordingly. 
5. In order to prevent the epidemic situation and maintain the health of the campus, students are required to obey the following instructions:
   1. Cough while wearing a mask
   2. Wash your hands frequently with soap
   3. Avoid frequent access to traditional markets, hospitals, and other populated areas
   4. Avoid contact with wild animals and birds
6. To keep updated with the latest epidemic prevention information, please refer to the website of Taiwan Centers for Disease Control  https://www.cdc.gov.tw/ or call 1922 government infection control hotline. For other information related to Taiwan Centers for Disease Control please refer to attachment 3,4,5,6.

1. Students who have not obtained the National Health Insurance eligibility (health insurance card), the corresponding measures are shown below:

1. As a result of the epidemic prevention policy, if the student leaves the country for more than 30 days, then the student is unable to obtain the health insurance eligibility, this is according to the Taiwan’s Ministry of Health and Welfare. If there are flexible updates, the school will announce it or notify by letter.
2. For students without health insurance, if there is a need to apply for “Commercial Medical Insurance” in the 2^nd semester of 108, then please send an email to wumm@ntu.edu.tw before April 15^th (title of the mail: student number + name Application of 108-2 Heath Insurance), insurance period: March 1^st to August 31^st, the cost is 3,000 NT dollars, please pay the tuition and miscellaneous fees first, then the insurance (refund) fee will be notified separately.
3. Commercial medical insurance claims are limited to necessary medical treatment only (such as fever, gastrointestinal pain, and other diseases). If it is used for dental correction, health check, vaccination, etc., the amount of the claims is as following:

1. Clinic: medical expense reimbursement insurance with a daily limit of 1,000 NT dollars.
2. Hospitalization: medical expense reimbursement insurance within 120,000 NT dollars, but the hospital bed is limited to third-class hospital beds.
